Tuesday April 28

Read THIS blog post by a teacher. I mean actually read it. Take it in. Think about it. And then, write about it. What do you think about it? What is the teacher trying to say? In your own words explain what "the main event" is.

I think that many students today find excuses before even trying to complete the work. It's like we just want to do nothing and be okay with it. Sometimes it is good to take breaks, but after those breaks we need to get to work. The teacher is saying that when we do this, we will hurt ourselves in the long run.

Blog Post of the Day:
3 day weekend... how was it? Give me a good story or something funny that happened this weekend. Go.

I didn't do much in this weekend since I took an Advanced Placement Mock Exam for European History. The real exam is in May but we took a practice one so we wouldn't get stressed about it. I took the exam on Sunday afternoon and then I just stayed at home and watched Netflix. I was pretty tired from the week before so I didn't really wanted to do much anyways. The one other thing I did was on Sunday morning. I went around downtown Kansas City and took pictures for my film photography class. The assignment was free choice so I decided to just take pictures of scenery.

Do you agree or disagree with this statement. Elaborate on why you agree of disagree.

If images are on the internet they should be "free game".

I disagree with  that statement. It's not just something you can take. The person who took or worked with the image should get credit for the work. It wouldn't be right claiming it for yourself.

Reflection of my resume website.

I think my website was good but I could have worked more in Photoshop to create a better design for my title on the page. I feel like mine wasn't the worst in the class and it wasn't the best. I could have done better. There are certain characteristics that I could have done  better. I thought mine was presentable to get a job but I would need a better website to be more successful.

Blog Post of the Day:
What's the coolest thing you've learned in Web Design so far? Why is it so cool and how can it help you in the future?

The coolest thing I have learned was how to code websites to make it look better. It's cool since not a lot of people know how to perfectly code items to make everything look nice. It can help me in the future for a online job resume and I would just have a website for it to further express who I am.

Blog Post of the Day:
Define 'User Experience'. What does it mean and how does it relate to web design? Explain yourself.

The definition of user experience is the overall experience of someone using a website or application like how easy it is to use. It relates to web design since we have the opportunities to enhance user satisfaction by improving the usability, ease of use, and happiness it provides from the user and the product.

Blog Post of the Day:
What is a resume website? What do people put on resume websites. Spend about 5-10 minutes looking up resume websites and what they are used for. Explain what you find. Include an image of a resume website if possible.

A resume website is a creative and unique way to feature your resume. You can give yourself a professional appearance online and you can share your resume, portfolio, and accomplishments to anyone who wants to see it. An online resume gives you more control over first impressions and who you are instead of just what you've done.
